“The Journey Of Food” is an educational exploration of food waste in Sweden done in collaboration with students from the MSc Design program at Linköping University and Svenska Dagbladet. The piece aims to educate readers about how far the ingredients of traditional Swedish cuisine travels to get to our plates. An estimated 1,211,000 tons of food waste is generated by Sweden each year most of which ends up being thrown out by us, the consumers. The visualizations of each dishes value chain shows exactly at which point food is lost or wasted up until it arrives on our plates.
